My Lovely Sponsors Part 2

Today, I'm introducing y'all to the last of my sponsors!  Don't forget to check out their blogs and leave them some wonderful comments!

If you would like to swap sponsor for the month of May email me at glisteningambition{at}gmail{dot}com, I'd be so happy to swap with you!

"Hi There! I'm Cara over at In Search of Sunshine. I live in Seattle and moved up to the Pacific Northwest from California about a year and a half ago. I'm still getting used to the lack of sunshine most of the year but loving every minute of getting to know the city and living my own life. I love trying out new recipes and spending time with my friends and boyfriend. I love to travel and I always seem to be planning a new trip, even just a weekend get away. I'm training for another half marathon and certainly have a love/hate relationship with running. I am just learning photography and really enjoy taking pictures and learning to shoot in manual. My blog covers my life through the perspective of my camera and my words. I hope you like what you see and find yourself coming back for more."

"Hello Glistening Ambition readers! I'm Danielle, a former West Virginian who now resides in Seattle. I packed up my things and switched coasts to start a new life with my now fiance! Since moving to Washington State I've gotten a "big girl" job, moved into a charming little lake house, and bought the cutest Golden Retriever pup named Huckleberry. My life is far from perfect, but it's the small things that make this journey so worth while! I hope you'll join me in my adventure at Taking Notes...Coast to Coast, where you'll be sure to read about wedding planning, DIY projects, and recipes all sprinkled with a touch of humor and a lot of love. Oh yeah, and you'll see a ton of pictures of Huckleberry, which (let's face it) is more than enough reason to stop by!"

"Hey! My name is Kara, and I'm a 20- something just starting out in the blogging world! (I’m really loving it!) I was born in Idaho, have lived up and down the coast of California, but feel most at home in the Bay Area. It’s where I went to college, work, and most importantly where I spend time with my wonderful family and friends. I love fashion, interior design, bad reality TV, bright colors, neutrals, rom-coms, animals, Kristin Wiig and Keri Russell (just to name a few things!) I’ve come to a place in my life where I’m learning to love the little things and take in every moment. I am constantly reminded of how lucky of a girl I am. I find time for gratitude everyday. Styled With Life is a “lifestyle blog” where I share my love of fashion, interior design and products I’ve come across. I also love to share tidbits of my life, work, family and friends. I’d love for you to stop by, and maybe even stay awhile! I look forward to meeting you!"

Current Favorites

These things have been some of my favorites the past couple of weeks.  Since spring is in full force around here, I've been enjoying the weather by laying out trying to get a good tan.  My favorite tanning spray is this Australian Gold Continuous Spray with Instant Bronzer.  It smells amazing and it even has SPF coverage.  Girls, I know we want to be golden goddesses, but don't skip the SPF coverage because sun exposure causes skin to age faster.  We don't want to have those pesky wrinkles pop up sooner than normal, and we don't want to have tough, leathery skin.

To carry all my pool essentials, I scored this adorable coral bag at Forever 21 for $12!

These American Eagle shorts have an eyelet lace trim, and I just love them.  Lace is one of my favorite trends this season.  The trim add such a shabby chic touch!

I stole this Bath and Body Works Stress Relief Bathsoak from my mom's bathroom.  I throw a couple of cap fulls into my bath at night when I'm feeling a little stressed and the eucalyptus and spearmint just bring a calming sense over me.  I tried to find some more at Bath and Body Works the other day, and they did not have any of the bathsoak.  I'm hoping they haven't discontinued it!

The last thing I've been obsessing over is Breakaway!  Breakaway is a weekly bible study on my college campus.  All students are invited and many times 4,000+ students come!  God has blessed Breakaway with an amazing Executive Director named Ben Stuart.  His weekly sermons are so moving and uplifting.  Since I've started attending Breakaway and listening to the podcasts, I've grown so much in my journey with God.  I feel that I've become a more dedicated Christian, and I'm learning to live my life for Him and no one else.  I encourage you to check out the podcasts, especially if you are a young adult trying to find your way in life without losing our Great Lord.  They can be found on the iTunes store by searching Breakaway Ministries.

What are some of your new favorite finds?

My Baby is Growing Up too Fast

It's sad to say but I think our furbaby, Gus, has hit his teenage years.

I remember the day when he loved to cuddle with me, would follow me around everywhere, and laid on the doormat and whined when I left the house.

Now, he wants nothing to do with us!  When I am laying on the couch he insist on laying in another room or on another couch.  Just this morning we tried to make him lay in bed with us, and he wasn't having it.  Colton has even gone as far as making crazy sounds to try and coax Gus into jumping on the bed or couch with us only to have him jump off 10 seconds later.  Unfortunately, I think he wants to be independent puppy.

"Mom what are you thinking?  Get off my futon!"

Maybe he needs room to stretch his legs.  Maybe 45 pounds dogs can't be "lap dogs" forever.  I'm not sure, I just know that I want my cuddle buddy back!

Pinteresting Wednesday: Girly Apartment Wishes

It's Wednesday!!  We are half way through the week, thank goodness!  It's also that time of the week for...Pinteresting Wednesday with Michelle from the Vintage Apple

I have about 1 year and 1 month left until I graduate, but hey who's counting!  I live at home right now, and I am so ready to get a "big girl job," so I am able to afford my own apartment.  For a while now I've thought my boyfriend and I would move in together after he graduates, but after thinking more about it I've decided that's not the best idea.  I want something new and exciting to look forward to after getting married.  I know marriage itself is going to be new and exciting, but I don't want to come back from our honeymoon and return to the usual same old thing.  So, I've been fantasizing about what my girly apartment is going to look like!

By the pictures you might be able to tell that I love color!  Seriously when I try to pick just two or three colors, somehow I always end up with every bright color in the rainbow.  I will be decking my apartment out with all kinds of cute, bright decor.  The wire pendant lighting will add a pop of color and intricate details.  I want to fill my home with beautiful quotes from the Bible, so I will be surrounded by the Lord's word because we should be thanking Him daily for the splendor and love He has given us.  My craft area will have to be small since apartments aren't the biggest places, but isn't this one adorable?  My sewing machine will have to fit on that desk though!  I love the colors and the gorgeous patterns that fill this living room.  The doors to this closet give the room a shabby chic feel to match this beautifully designed bedroom.  I love the mix of patterns in the bedroom and the turquoise bedspread!
